Art is what you want it to be

Prints online

Bob Tapia, a world-renowned Sausalito artist and gallery owner for 34 years, and his beloved wife Rosemary specialize in California seascape, oceanscape, and still life floral using oils and watercolors. Due to Bob and Rosemary’s exceptional work over the last 3 decades it was no wonder that their gallery was a staple in Sausalito. Bobs beautiful art is created using oils. He specializes in seascapes and richly colored abstracts that combine colors in ways that surprise and excite the eye. One thing that I like about Rosemarys art is her use of amazing watercolors, seductive oils and outstanding acrylics. She creates the most beautiful landscape and still life pieces; I especially love her floral art. Their downtown gallery has been named as “One of Sausalito’s Hidden Treasures, because it really is a Sausalito institution.”Now in their 35th year of business they are making a alteration…they are moving out of their Art Gallery located at 52 Princess St.which was established in 1974! Where to? Online! Their website is going to allow them to take part in a global market. If you are there visiting (don’t worry), you may still be able to find some originals in the local Sausalito galleries, but if you are looking for fine art prints, you will be able to buy their pieces at www.gicleecollection.com This move is coming at a pivotal time for Bob and Rosemary, many more business owners and artists are turning global by their online presence. Don’t hesitate to find and follow them on twitter or facebook- look for Giclee Collection. Becoming an online business has actually given their customers an advantage in choosing and obtaining their artwork. It has even made it possible to make their work more affordable while opening the door to a world that has never experienced a ‘Tapia’. Though they are sad to be closing their gallery in downtown Sausalito they are excited to see their fan base grow by going online. All of their handsome reprints are numbered, signed and come with a letter of authenticity. One thing about their art is that it looks great anywhere it always seems to add to the environment. If you have questions about the art or if you would like to personally send your salutations Bob and Rose still have a direct line you can contact them at any time. Bob can be quoted as saying “art is what you think it is…”. To be is inspired is a great thing and this what the Tapias art has done for me. Bobs seascapes are not only precise but quite exquisite. His sunset scenes always seem to bring me to a place that I’ve been before or a place I want to voyage to in the future. Having seen the Golden Gate Bridge so many times, when I look at Bobs paintings I am always inspired to see the bridge in a new way every time. Rosemary’s art causes me to daydream, to be in a place of beauty. I am often reminded of the warmth of Rosemary’s heart when I look at her paintings. The story Rosemary tells in her paintings is so prolific. I only imagine that if Rosemary were to do anything she would do well at it. She embodies what it means to be an artist. You will find in your quest for fine art that it is a common language through out the world. A fine art collection is matchless if you dont know where to start, start with a Tapia. My first real piece was a VanGogh print; strange to say, but it really had an effect on me and I will never forget about the time I purchased it. When I met Bob and Rosemary it was kind of like buying my first VanGogh. The art has inspired me to think of things in a different way. To own a piece of art is to own a piece of history; a story of the artists viewpoint and the profound way of expressing their moment in time. When owning their artwork it feels as though their moment in time becomes your moment and special connection to the artist. What starts as the creators own, becomes yours and now you are sharing in that moment with them. For example, when someone comes to your house and sees your art collection, you have an opportunity to share your space with them. This goes on and on and on. This is why I think The Tapias have taken their business online. They want to share their space with everyone. Please come and see for yourself how inspiring their art can be. Their art can be viewed around the Bay at many high end gallerys. They have continued to be a fixture in the Bay Area art community and are hoping to expand their loyal following into the online world as well. Please be sure to go towww.gicleecollection.com and have a look around. They seem to be using twitter to its fullest so I highly recommend following them.
